August 3rd Deadline: Islandora Camps Call for Proposals

Hi everyone,

We wanted to share a reminder that we are currently accepting proposals for the upcoming Islandora Camps. If you're thinking of attending, please also remember that members will receive discounted registration rates - it's a great time to become a member!

The overall theme for our October 2026 camps is: "Building momentum through change." In today's unpredictable digital landscape we strive to build momentum within our community to strengthen and improve Islandora on the cusp of its 20th anniversary in 2027.

We are looking for proposals for educational sessions, presentations, workshops, working sessions or community sprints. We are open to a wide variety of ideas, but some recent topics of interest include:

• Accessibility, including Solutions for OCR/HOCR, AI Assessment options
• Migration challenges & solutions
• Themes & customization
• Views
• Preservation, including Fedora & alternatives
• Workbench
• Adoption
• Analytics
• Bots mitigation
• Implementation Show & Tell

The deadline for proposals is August 3rd.
