Hello Islandora!

This is a reminder that we’re offering a more formal training opportunity in the May Open Meeting time on 5/28. Mark Jordan will lead a session on updating content using Islandora Workbench. There are still five spots open, so if you’d like to sign up, please do so by using the RSVP form.

During this 1.5 hour session, you will gain experience using Islandora Workbench to update your repository's content. After spending some time preparing your CSV and media files, you will move on to running Workbench to apply those changes to existing nodes and media. This session is intended for participants who already have a basic understanding of  / some experience in using Islandora Workbench.

Thanks to Compute Canada, 20 VMs running Islandora Starter Site will be provided. There will also be time to get feedback on work with your own starter site or Islandora instance. Participants should have an up-to-date version of Islandora Workbench already installed on their computers (documentation is available, and help can be found on Slack’s #islandoraworkbench channel). If you have already signed up, please update your Workbench code by pulling in updates to the "main" branch before the training (Mark made some critical updates in the last couple of days). Sample content will be available, though bring your own if you wish. Thanks to Rosie Le Faive and Compute Canada for the technical support!

On behalf of the ICC,
Sarah
