Dear Islandora Interest Group conveners and participants,

The Islandora Coordinating Committee is interested in hearing from the Islandora Interest Groups. Interest Groups are an important part of the fabric of community input and participation in Islandora, and the ICC is currently prioritizing supporting efforts that leverage input from our users and contributors. We would like to find out from conveners and members what you are working on, what you need to accomplish your goals, and what suggestions you have for improving participation, communication, or outreach. We would like to invite conveners [and participants] to an upcoming ICC meeting to discuss how you think things are going as an IG; this could be a continuing (monthly/quarterly/semiannually) invitation. We’d also like to invite you to claim a regular open meeting time to present on your work (perhaps quarterly or semiannually). This is a reporting and promotional opportunity for your interest group.

The ICC would appreciate your help in making the Open Meetings a more useful resource for current and future members of the Islandora Community. Would you be able to participate in the roles we have described in Open Meetings going forward? Could we schedule IG representatives to present at upcoming meetings? What else would be needed or could we, as ICC, provide to help make this happen?

Please reply to Amy Blau (bla...@whitman.edu) or message me on the Islandora Slack with questions or to schedule attendance at an ICC meeting or plan contributions to an upcoming Open Meeting.

Thanks for all of your work for Islandora.

Best,

Amy Blau

on behalf of the Islandora Coordinating Committee
