Hi Everyone,

I hope you’re having a great week so far. I wanted to share an exciting upcoming opportunity for you to support the Fedora community and all of its users.

We are embarking on a series of live documentation review working sessions in support of our community effort to update/review Fedora 6.x documentation. After the success of the Documentation Work-a-Thon from the 2024 Virtual Fedora Showcase, we are riding that momentum in to the new year by holding a series of working sessions to help us accomplish this critical task.

How does it work?

  • Starting Thus. October 31st @ 10:30am Eastern we are holding live working sessions to review the current Fedora 6 documentation on the Fedora wiki (https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/FEDORA6x)
    • Working sessions will be 30 mins long.
    • Sessions will be held every 2 weeks until the end of December 2024.
    • Zoom link to join: https://bit.ly/4eYPZgP

  • No registration required.
  • Everyone is encouraged to participate – no deep technical Fedora knowledge is required.
    • Can you spell? You’re in!
    • Can you click links? You’re in!
    • Can you check boxes? You’re also in!

We will be working from the following review document: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c4y8QH_hmcnL7vdsk4d9Qi9UzLFjyIUtyYFvdPDaN-M/edit?usp=sharing

Members of the Fedora program team and technical/committer team will be on hand to answer live questions, collaborate on the review process and be there to support anyone participating. You won’t be in this alone! Come for one or all of the sessions. Every little bit helps. Bring your team, bring your friends, bring your colleagues.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Cheers,

Arran
