Call for Proposals - Modularizing Islandora

Hello Islandora,

I am pleased to send the following Call for Proposals to complete specific Islandora code work on behalf of the Islandora Leadership Group, and the project’s product owner (Rosie Le Faive, UPEI).

This work has been widely discussed in recent weeks: Rosie has completed consultation with key community development partners, as well as open community consultation in a Town Hall Wednesday June 22nd and in the Open Meeting June 28th. Based on this, the proposed scope and specifications document is finalized and available here (also linked to in the Islandora Foundation Official Documents Google Drive).

This call is open to any service provider who would like to bid on this work. Bids will be assessed based on the procedure for selecting service providers. and following the conflict of interest policy. Data will also be managed in keeping with the Islandora Privacy Policy. 

Proposals should include, at minimum:

• Which (or all) of the Phase 1 items the proposal covers.

• A process for developing and updating Github tickets to keep the community aware of the progress of the project.

• Expected number of hours, and total cost of contract with the currency clearly identified.

• Estimated start and end dates. 
  

Questions and bids should be submitted directly to Rosie Le Faive and are due by end of day July 17th.

The Leadership group hopes to review proposals between July 17 and July 22 and will award the contract, based on Rosie’s recommendation, in the July 22 Leadership Group meeting.
