From September 10-12, the Fedora Program team had the privilege of hosting the first in-person Fedora Camp since before the global pandemic. Bringing together a
group of 30 individuals from the EU and UK regions, the event was well received by all attendees.

Attendees at Fedora Camp 2025, held in Vienna, Austria. September 2025.
|
Over the course of three days, the group engaged in hands-on workshops, sharing user stories and participating in engagement activities, all aimed at building and
strengthening the sense of community and support. All of the program content is available on the
event
wiki.
A special thank you to the University of Vienna, our local hosts, for all of your support in hosting, planning, and facilitating the on-site event. We could not
have done it without you.
And to our other event sponsors, another special thank you for your contributions which helped make Fedora Camp possible.

Fedora 7.0 Release Update
We’ve made a small adjustment to the Fedora 7.x release timeline to reflect the time needed for our committer and technical teams to finish outstanding work. Things
are moving forward steadily, and we’re still on track for a full production release in early 2026 as planned.
View
the list of planned features for Fedora 7.x
Updated Release Timeline
Now – Mid October
-
The Committer and Technical team will continue working on the remaining features and performance optimization.
-
An Alpha release is planned for mid-October. This will be the first opportunity for community testing and will include all identified features and the updated dependency libraries.
Mid October – Year End
-
Teams will shift focus to performance and transaction-related issues raised by community users.
Early January 2026
-
A Beta release will be shared for broader community testing and feedback.
-
A Release Candidate will follow once Beta testing is complete.
This revised schedule keeps us well within the original project delivery window, while giving
our teams the time they need to ensure Fedora 7.x is stable, reliable, and responsive to community needs.
