Hi-

DGI proposes that:
becomes Islandora components, with a canonical repo on GitHub
owned by the Islandora Foundation, subject to the same release
management and documentation processes as other Islandora modules.

All modules are available under the GPLv3 license, the same
license used for all Islandora modules.

All contributors are included under DGI's Corporate Contributor Licence Agreement.

@note
Kristian Allen of UCLA has stated that he is happy to commit development and documentation to help water Islandora Sync to get it where it needs to be for a release.

Thanks, Nigel! I'll get this on the agenda for the next Roadmap meeting and we will be in touch with the next steps.

Update to note that Island Scholar is now the first of these to be formally accepted by the Foundation - which is a major step towards getting it into the 7.x-1.3 release. Sync and Image Annotation are still under review.

Make that *Islandora Scholar* that has been accepted by the Foundation. Island Scholar is UPEI's nifty implementation of Islandora Scholar [1]. Sometimes our Island-y names start to pile up :)
