I am looking for some general
comments and criticisms on this
site and its design.

Thanks kindly,

Fix the right image on the intro page. Its height is set to 292 when it
should be 293. Actually, I'd merge those two images and hotlink them to
the home.html page. People will intuitively try to click the pictures.

That rotating oval is ugly (IMO) and very distracting. Blow it away in
favour of a tasteful static graphic.

The rollover images on the "Here" links should not default back to that
blue tie. It makes for herky-jerky distraction. The rollover images
don't have any direct relevance to their related links. It makes it look
like rollover for the sake of rollover. Then when you mouse over the
"THERE" links, nothing happens, and you wonder what's wrong. I'd stop
using that extra "Image3" rollover. If you want javascript image
rollovers, change the menu from text to images. Or ditch the javascript
rollover altogether and use css text rollovers for your links.

The link to the Hugo Boss site should pop a new window, since it doesn't
seem to want to allow back navigation to the BI site.

The HOME link on the inner pages should go back to the actual homepage,
not the intro page. People will be pissed off if they have to hit "Enter"
again. Especially if they intuitively try to click the pictures again, as
they will, and nothing happens.

The counter shouldn't be visible. Use a hidden counter. Looks cheesy
otherwise, like a personal home page.

Just my opinions. FWIW...

I agree with getting rid of the counter. I also do not like underlined
links.

I would also suggest using JPG images for photographs (especially for the
spash page). JPGs are more efficient than GIFs when dealing with continuous
tone colour.

You can also escape your email links to avoid spam like this:

<a
href="&#109&#097&#105&#108&#116&#111&#058&#097&#064&#098&#046&#099&#111&#109">email</a>

When you move over this in a web browser, it will say "mailto:a...@b.com".

I find the font of the text extremely small. I don't have Verdana
currently
loaded, so it defaults to Times New Roman. But the size is too small.
Instead
of setting the font size to 2 or 3, try just subtracting one from the
user's
font size: size=-1, or size=-2. Just because your font and your your
default
size look good to you, other people may have chosen a larger font so
they can
read it.

Someone had mentioned underlined links. It must have been their setting,
as
I don't have them underlined anywhere.

I didn't realize the the "There" links were links to those
manufacturers. It
wasn't obvious from the headings.

When you use different colors for the links, especially when you also
use a
default color for other text, it's confusing as to what is a link and
what
isn't. If the brown links aren't that critical, why not let the default
colors be, and use the brown in your text somewhere.

I find the rotating BI ball annoying actually.

I do like the general layout of the pages. I congratulate you on daring
to
ask the community for their thoughts. A lot of other page developers
could
take a page :o) out of your book (sorry about that).
