Fall Classes Start Soon!
Boston Islamic Seminary is getting ready to kick off our inaugural semester in September, with four classes offered through our Continuing Education program.
The class lineup for the fall includes two classes about the Qura'n, "Heroines of the Qur'an," taught by Ustdh. Celene Ibrahim, which focuses on the lessons we can all learn from the lives of female figures in the Qur'an, and "Sciences of the Qur'an" in which Dr. Suheil Laher will provide important background on how the Qur'an is understood and interpreted by scholars.
We are also excited to offer two classes on our contemporary context: Dr. Martin Nguyen will teach a weekend intensive on Islam in America which will help students understand the long history of Islam in this country, and Ustdh. Rushain Abbasi will offer a class about "Islam and Modernity" which gives a philosophical view of how our contemporary context has been shaped and how that might affect Islam and Muslims.
We hope you will join us!
