Subject: Donation Point Tap 3G Shutdown Delayed to October

Dear Valued Donation Point Tap Customer,

We’re pleased to inform you that following the recent announcement from Optus regarding the delay of the 3G network shutdown to 28th October, your 3G-only Donation Point Tap (DPT) terminals will remain operational until that date.

The updated end date for Merchant Facilities for 3G-only Donation Point Tap terminals is now:

Thursday 31 October 2024

Additionally, we are working to streamline our services, so we will soon deactivate the SIM cards of any 3G-only Donation Point Tap (DPT) terminals that have not been used this year (as of 15 August). Billing for these inactive terminals will also cease.

The revised timetable for the closure of the old 3G DPTs is outlined below:

  • 1 August

All repair services stop.

Terminals sent for repair will be securely disposed on your behalf

  • 2 September

Inactive 3G-only DPT terminals will have their 3G service deactivated and will no longer function

  • Early October

Monthly Service Fee will be direct debited for the last time.

  • 1 November

Terminals will be de-activated and display ‘Donation Unavailable’ message on the screen

Please note, the actions above only apply to your old 3G-only terminals. The new 4G + Wi-Fi DPTs will continue to operate without interruption.

If you would like to discontinue the use of your old terminal before the above dates, please, please complete this Service Change Form and return it to merchant...@questps.com.au

Not upgraded yet?

We understand that your 3G DPT terminal has served you well, but with the upcoming phase-out of the 3G network, we strongly encourage you to consider upgrading to our new 4G + Wi-Fi Donation Point Tap terminal.

  • Upgraded Connectivity: The new 4G + Wi-Fi DPT is built to the latest technology standards, ensuring your terminal remains operational and secure for years to come.

  • Enhanced Donor Experience: With a colour touchscreen, donors can easily select the donation amount that suits them. Your organisation’s logo can also be prominently displayed, enhancing brand visibility.

  • Single Amount Mode: Coming soon, this feature will allow your terminal to always prompt for a tap, making it even easier for donors to contribute with just a simple tap.

Upgrading now not only ensures uninterrupted service but also offers your donors a more modern, efficient way to contribute to your cause.

To make the transition smoother, we’re offering a special promotion in September.

Use the coupon code SEPT-UPGRADE to receive 10% off your purchase of a new Donation Point Tap terminal.

Visit our website at www.donationpointtap.com.au to explore the benefits of the new terminal and make your purchase.

We appreciate your continued partnership and look forward to supporting your fundraising efforts with our latest technology.

If you have any questions or need assistance with the upgrade process, please don’t hesitate to contact us at merchant...@questps.com.au
