Assignment 2:

Statement 1: 

It has been widely believed that today Muslims are backward in every step of life as compare to West. As West is the most advanced and developed of all societies in every aspect of life (like Science, technology, governance, politics,morality etc). while on the other hand Muslims are backward in all fields. So, Muslims should follow western teachings to become developed and civilized nations, this is the only way to success.

Statement 2:

The reason of Muslims failure in every field of life is that they have left the true teachings of Islam and are just blindly following the west. our success depends on the message of Islam, and it has the same power to revolutionize the world as it did fourteen centuries ago.

 

Write three Arguments in favor of each statement and three arguments against of each statement. so you have to write total 12 arguments.

Note:Each argument should be not more than one sentence.

Note that an argument for Islam need not be an argument against the west. 

For example, one can say that Islam favors democracy, which is necessary today. This means that following Islam will help us develop -- at the same time, following the west will help us develop, because they also favor democracy. 

Similarly, an argument against the West is not necessarily an argument in favor of Islam. For example, the West favors private property, which is a capitalist idea leading to concentration of wealth. If we abolish private property we will be better off -- this argument is against West, and ALSO against Islam, but in favor of COMMUNISM.

Finally, you need not be restricted to ONE sentence in your argument. You can use upto THREE maximum.
