Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 123

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "When the month
of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of
Hell are closed and the devils are chained."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 127

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever does not
give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his
leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"

Narrated 'Alqama (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 129

While I was walking with 'Abdullah he said, "We were in the company of
the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and he said, 'He who can
afford to marry should marry, because it will help him refrain from
looking at other women, and save his private parts from looking at
other women, and save his private parts from committing illegal sexual
relation; and he who cannot afford to marry is advised to fast, as
fasting will diminish his sexual power."

Narrated Abu Bakra (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 136

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The two months of
'Id i.e. Ramadan and Dhul-Hijja, do not decrease (in superiority)."
