Hadith About Dressing

Dear Brothers and Sisters As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-
Barakatuhu,

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 747
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If you want to
put on your shoes, put on the right shoe first; and if you want to
take them off, take the left one first. Let the right shoe be the
first to be put on and the last to be taken off."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 754
The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) forbade the wearing of a
gold ring.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 773
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) cursed those men who
are in the similitude (assume the manners) of women and those women
who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of men.

Narrated Ibn Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 776
The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "To get the
moustaches cut short is characteristic of the Fitra."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 779
I heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying. "Five
practices are characteristics of the Fitra: circumcision, shaving the
pubic hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and
depilating the hair of the armpits."

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 781
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Cut the
moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is)."

Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 790
The hair of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to hang
down up to his shoulders.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 801
Once I stayed overnight in the house of my aunt Maimuna bint Al-Harith
and Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was with her as it
was her turn. Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) got up to
offer the night prayer. I stood on his left but he took hold of my two
locks of hair and made me stand on his right.

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 806
I used to perfume Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) with
the best scent available till I saw the shine of the scent on his head
and beard.

Narrated (Abdullah) bin 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 :
No. 804
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) forbade Al-
Qaza' (leaving a tuft of hair here and there after shaving one's
head.)

Narrated Sa'd (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 807
A man peeped into the house of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) through a hole while the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) was scratching his head with a Midrai (a certain kind of
comb). On that the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said (to
him), "If I had known you had been looking, then I would have pierced
your eye with that instrument, because the asking of permission has
been ordained so that one would not see things unlawfully."

Narrated Thumama bin 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 :
No. 813
Anas never used to refuse (a gift of) scent and used to say that the
Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) never used to refuse (a gift
of) scent.

Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 815
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) has cursed those women
who practise tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and
those who remove their face hairs, and those who create a space
between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and such women as
change the features created by Allah. Why then should I not curse
those whom the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) has cursed? And
that is in Allah's Book. i.e. His Saying: 'And what the Apostle gives
you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).' (59.7)

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 817
An Ansari girl was married and she became sick and all her hair fell
out, intending to replace with false hair. They asked the Prophet
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) who said, "Allah has cursed the lady
who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and also the
one who gets her hair lengthened."

Narrated Abu Talha (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No. 833
The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Angels do not enter
a house in which there is a dog or there are pictures."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): Bukhari Vol. 7 : No.
835
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Those who make
these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it
will be said to them. 'Make alive what you have created.'"
