Solidarity Youth Movement was born into a critical juncture in human
history marked by loss of trust in high-sounding slogans and claims
like ‘the spine of society’, ‘prime-mover of social transformation’
etc. The twilight of May 13, 2003 at Muthalakulam Grounds, Calicut
witnessed the rise of the new voice of Solidarity in Kerala amidst the
throbbing presence of thousands of youths. A new flag, which bore the
‘revolutionary stamp of youth on our times’, surged in the high skies
boldly declaring its deep commitment for rejuvenating a revolutionary
youthdom.

Solidarity is founded on a noble ideology and its objective is to
liberate the generation of youths from moral bankruptcy and debauchery
and to transform them in to a radical vanguard fighting for the
betterment of society. Solidarity has taken the responsibility of
molding an enlightened generation of youths, who have the heart and
hand to fight evil, who have love for humanity and deep commitment to
human fraternity, who cherish the dreams of peace and welfare for
society and will act as the guardsmen and refuge of people.

Solidarity - a symbol of hope - is now growing on and on, through
service and struggle. Its strength and wealth is a growing band of
activists who have proved themselves in the tough terrains of social
activism.

According to us, overall development of society should be the prime
objective underlying youth organization. Youths have a vital role in
the overall cultural, educational, material and spiritual growth of
all people including workers, farmers, tribals and other downtrodden
and marginalized sections, minorities etc.

Solidarity treads the path of this revolutionary task in the supreme
Light of Divine Guidance and in accordance with the liberationary
model enacted by the Prophets aiming for success and welfare in life
before and after death for all people.

Despite the fact that the colonial rule of British had been disbanded,
our land has not yet realized freedom in its genuine sense. Desi and
foreign exploitative sections are even now flagrantly violating
fundamental human rights. The living conditions of the overwhelming
majority of people are extremely pathetic. The entire public society
has turned out to become the victim of an oppressive state controlled
by vested interests of wealthy and ‘elite’. Solidarity believes that
the resources usurped by the powerful and monopolistic rightfully
belong to the victims, the people alone.

It is meaningless to call a society free, if it’s basic and just needs
like fresh air, fresh water, food, clothes, shelter, medication,
education etc are not fulfilled. In this context, Solidarity is now
organizing a relentless struggle for realization of true freedom and
is making extensive use of the resources of youth-hood for retrieval
of this actual freedom. Freedom can be realized only when even the
least minuscule remnant of imperial exploitation perishes. For
banishing poverty, backwardness and all multifarious exploitations,
total annihilation of capitalism is a must.

Even after kicking out the British, we could never see the Indian
government adopting socio-economic policies grounded in the realities
of our land. We are still running after failed ideologies and
perspectives engendering exploitation. Solidarity believes that the
crux of the problem lies in our lack of ability to incorporate the
reality of existence of man and universe in their genuine sense as
central to our perspectives.

Our land now faces a formidable threat from fascists and other groups
advocating hatred and destruction. Solidarity views with concern the
growing aggressiveness of all these forces. Solidarity has an accurate
understanding of the threats lurching behind slogans like cultural
nationalism to our whole polity. Solidarity has clearly understood the
evil conspiracies to exterminate the minority communities of the
society, who have played an indisputable role in creating the rich
history and culture of our nation. It is not only that communalistic
and fascistic tendencies undermine the solidarity of our society but
also tries to make the fundamental issues of the society sound
irrelevant, thus hindering the development of society in the right
direction.

Solidarity will never empathize with the attempts to ‘arm’ the victims
of communal hatred and fascism. The correct method is to consider
communalism as a common evil and enemy of all people and organize
creative social and political resistance activities against it in this
spirit. Solidarity is also pledged to create a healthy social
environment of active dialogue between various religions and
ideologies.

Solidarity strongly objects to the modern conceptions that treat
religion, faith and consciousness of life-after-death as deleterious
to the interests of society. Yet we believe that the efforts of
priesthood to subordinate religious ideas and faith in God for
parochial interests and petty political objectives have to be actively
countered and defeated. The absence of genuine religious faith has no
doubt contributed to the depoliticization of youths in tune with the
interests of capitalism.

Solidarity understands that irreligiosity, fanaticism and the global
spiritual trade conducted by the cultic god-men and god-women are the
main obstacles in the path of social development. Hence, Solidarity is
in the vanguard of the fight against tendencies threatening to
extinguish the efforts of social revolution that uphold the interests
of people.

Solidarity is a revolutionary youth movement inspired by consciousness
of God. It derives inspiration from the critical struggles undertaken
by Prophets in history against enemies of God and people, who have
tried to impose their illegitimate hegemony over the world. Solidarity
boldly questions the irreligious imperial dominance and repressive
regimes that are growing stronger all over the world. Solidarity
supports all liberation movements throughout the world fighting
against weapons race and against invasions of the new imperialism. We
understand that the common task of humanity is to unify all the
collective efforts for freedom and liberation and thus to create a
formidable defense against the global evil of wanton American
supremacy.

Solidarity, through its activities imparts lessons of fraternity and
tolerance which are essential for fighting the poison-spitting hoods
of communal hatred.

Words and slogans fortified by apt deeds – this is how Solidarity
marches forth. Struggle and service are inextricable elements in its
work culture. It strongly points its one hand towards the iniquities
of the elite classes while at the same time engaging the other arm in
providing support to the voiceless poor and destitute. What impels
Solidarity to move forward in the path of service and struggle is the
deep conviction that there is no separating barrier between social
service and worship to God.

Solidarity is the creative response of revolutionary youthhood to the
intricate questions raised by the contemporary world. Being the youth
wing of Jamat e Islami in Kerala it derives its energy from the youths
having relentless love for goodness and immense hatred towards evil.
If you are also ready to speak out against injustice, irrespective of
all differences in caste and creed and if you are ready to wipe the
tears from the eyes of the poor and helpless than you are also part of
Solidarity.--

With the calls for protest against court judgement banning meetings alongside the roads Solidarity seems to be another political party as well.

I would suggest this site (Islam) be better used for the religion not for political issues or as factional mouthpiece for some movement except that of Islam's cause.

Not only political parties but religious parties also have been using
public road for their propagation, conference, debate and all type of
tug-of-wars. So, religious parties should not keep silence against
such an undemocratic law. Keeping silence against a black act, i.e.
trying to be a silent-Satan, is not the eligibility for a party to be
a religious party. Fighting for justice is the inheritance of prophets
of Allah; JIH, SYM and SIO are on that way. The usual method of Muslim
religious parties, in Kerala, is to criticize JIH in its entire doings
at first; and after years, or sometime decades, they will imitate it.
They remind us a tube light with an ordinary chock, which lights
lately.

dear brother usman

 its never against road widening

pls read the following,

Solidarity will raise slogans to dump the move to develop national highways on BOT (Build Operate and Transfer) basis; to assure sufficient rehabilitation for people to be evacuated; to acquire only the required amount of land for four-lane roads and to make the development procedures transparent so as to clear the doubts of people. People of Kerala have not been against seasonal development of national and state highways. But, the proposed development plan is largely accused of carrying several dubious provisions and anti-people plannings. It includes the unnecessary move to acquire 45 metre for highway development, though the National Road Congress has suggested 30 metre for the same.
Acquisition of more-than-enough land in the special geographic conditions of Kerala, a state with high people density should be avoided. According to primary estimates, this move will displace more than 36,000 families and affect large number of market places, hospitals, farmlands and worship centres. Yet, the government has not declared any rehabilitation packages. Granting road developmental activities to corporates on the basis of BOT, indicates nothing other than government's inability to provide basic facilities to people. It is an undemocratic approach and will end up in people's fight for the right to travel. Popular fight against unintelligent national highway development has been developed to a significant phase in the state. It is the time now for major political parties and mainstream media to conceive the graveness of issue and to declare their stand. Solidarity Youth Movement is on its usual path, that is along with the people. Its protest rallies will be an attempt to warn the government and to make people aware of the matters, leaders said. Once the government fails to take rightful steps and go on with its plans, Solidarity will have to move to rigorous protests including blocking surveys for the project.

Dear brother

Islam is not some name of a community or their monopoly. Its is not
simply a  set of religious rites and rituals. It is concerned with the
overall approach of man to life in all its multiple aspects,
its some attitude/lifestyle that covers the entire life of individuals
and societies.
islam as a social system has greater claims to unprejudiced consideration.
Islam encompasses the exterior and the interior of man as well as all
individual and collective aspects of his life. there is not even a
single aspect of human life ranging from beliefs, rituals and morals
to economic, social and political aspects which may be beyond its
pale.
Islam ensures for divine pleasure and success in the hereafter, as
well as the best system of life for the proper solution of worldly
problems; and righteous and progressive reconstruction of individual
and social life is possible only through its establishment.
if muslims have faith in the efficacy of Islam, which has been a
potent force for the good of mankind throughout the ages, it is not
only the necessary demand of their faith, but also their altruistic
duty to propagate its principles, especially at a time when the
country is in search of a stable basis for building the edifice of its
life

Solidarity is founded on this noble ideology. It has taken the
responsibility of molding the generation of youths, who have the heart

and hand to fight evil, who have love for humanity and deep commitment

When majority of public like the law which is a against hindrance to free flowing traffic and people why political and so called religious parties are opposing it. It is like bandh and hartal that makes public life miserable. On what basis you call it black law and undemocratic. No where in any developed countries (democratic) one is allowed to do disruption to public life. If at all you have to have your meetings take prior permission that will list out the terms and conditions to do one (with no or less public nuisance).

Come on guys wake up before these parties and unions and solidarity control 100% of our lives!
