As Salaam O 'Alaykum Wa Rehmatullaahi Wa Barakatuh! Sibling in Islam,
Hope this mail finds you in the best of health and emaan, Insha-ALLAAH!

//... RAMADAAN MABROOK, oh my sibling in Islam! ... \\
كل عام وأنتم بخير
وتقبل الله طاعتكم

In Saudi Arabia, the first day of Ramadhaan 1434 is on Wednesday, July 10th 2013, inshaALLAAH!

May ALLAAH azza wa jal Increase us in our taqwa in this holy month of Ramadaan!
May this Ramadaan cause us to be more closer to ALLAAH azza wa jal!
May the ibadah in this month be the cause of ALLAAH's Mercy upon all of us!
May ALLAAH Grant us tawfique to fast and do ibadah with khushoo!
May ALLAAH Grant us Jannat'l Firdaus al 'ala!
Aameen Ya Rabbal 'Aalameen!

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"O you who believe! Observing fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious)"

[Surah Al Baqara, Ayat 183 (Ch.2: Verse 184, Qur'an)]

Allaah has made fasting in Ramadaan the fourth pillar of Islam, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“The month of Ramadaan in which was revealed the Qur’aan, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Sawm (fasts) that month…”

[Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 185 (Ch. 2: Verse 185, Qur'an)]

Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever prays qiyaam in Ramadaan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Al-Bukhaari (37) and Muslim (759)

All your past sins can be forgiven in this blessed month!
SubhanAllaah!

How can all of our past sins be forgiven in Ramadan?
1. To fast in the month of Ramadaan
[Wajib]

OR

2. Whoever spends time in praying night prayers (Taraweeh or Tahajjud) in the month of Ramadaan.
[Optional]

OR

3. By spending Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in hope of reward.
[Optional]

Indeed, Ramadan is the best month out of all months!
Ramadan is the holiest out of all the holiest of months!
All of the holy books (Torah, Injeel, Qur'an)  came in the month of Ramadaan!
It has the best night out of all the nights!

Allaah Mentions Ramadaan by name in the Qur'an!
No other month is mentioned by name in the Qur'an, except Ramadaan!

I won't be busy giving dawah in Ramadaan. Rather, I would try my best to pray Nawafil prayer and read, understand, and memorise Qur'an, Insha'Allaah!

It is mustahabb (strongly recommended) in Ramadaan to study the Qur’aan together and to read it a great deal.
The evidence that this is mustahabb is the fact that:

Jibreel used to meet the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) every night in Ramadaan and study the Qur’aan with him.

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6; Muslim, 2308

Thus, I plan to send a one Islam packed mail today so that you can use it throughout Ramadaan, Insha'Allaah!
I plan to send one more mail just before the last 10 nights of Ramadaan, Insha'Allaah!
Let's see if Allaah grants me life till then or not!
P.s. This is just planning! Allaahu 'Aalam what happens!

We don't know the names of any other door of Jannah, except the door for fasting, Ar-Riyan!

Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“There has come to you Ramadaan, a blessed month which Allaah has enjoined you to fast, during which the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the rebellious devils are chained up. In it there is a night which is better than a thousand months, and whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.”

Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 2106; Ahmad, 8769. classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 999.

Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“When Ramadaan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained up.”

Stated in al-Saheehayn (al-Bukhaari, 1898; Muslim, 1079)

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“The five daily prayers, from one Jumu’ah to the next and FROM ONE RAMADAAN TO THE NEXT ARE EXPIATION FOR (SINS COMMITTED) IN BETWEEN, so long as you avoid major sins.”

Saheeh Muslim (233)

Day 3 - Fasting Makes Me Stronger! (Heart Wheel Journal) by Muhammad Al Shareef

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujVl0qu3AJU

Some Gems to take away and implement from this session:

• People will focus on their goals but they're too tired to go out and achieve their goals.
• Fasting is designed to make you stronger!
• If Allah has prescribed it, then its only going to benefit you.
• For Iftar, don't stuff yourself! If you stuff yourself, you're gonna spend Ramadan sleeping.
• Don't skip Suhoor, or else you'll be knocked out by Tarawih prayer.

Ustadh Muhammad Al Shareef gives a small reminder to us every day and most of them are posted on youtube.

Want to know about super speed Taraweeh or about the "burp after Iftar" problem?! Definitely watch it!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please invite people to your homes for iftar at home, as it is mustahabb to offer for those who are fasting!

Please do it ONLY with clean intention of getting more hasanaat from Allaah azza wa jal, Insha'Allaah!

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the fasting person’s reward in the slightest.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 807; Ibn Maajah, 1746; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 647
