This is just to remind you of some of the objectives of our group. Please feel free ro add or comment. Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks

These are some of the objectives I had in mind for this group:

1. Spread the word about this field and bring more awareness about it
2. Encourage our students and colleagues to write some of their papers on this topic.
3. Moniter, and establish a database for Literary works that deal with Islam and Muslims.
4. Bring together in one place experts and researchers interested in the representation of Islam and Muslims in Western Literature.
5. Select certain topics, books, articles and begin discussions among members about them.

6. Invite some of the scholars and have them write something for our readers.
7. Provide material and consultations for teachers designing syllabuses for courses on the field.
8. Devote a number of pages for team work where every member can log in and add his or her contribution. 

9. develop into a whole web site for Islam, Muslims and Western Literature.

 

Can you think of some more objectives? Based on the objectives we will have the plan to achieve these goals. Thanks
