to Islam and Muslims in Western Literature
Assalamu Alaikoom

I hope you are all well. I ahve recently been guided to this site in
the hope that i can gain a greater amount of insight into the way
Muslims and Islam have been (mis)represented within English
Literature. I am an undergraduate and will be commencing an
independent study module in teh upcoming acedemic year. The topic i
have chosen is within the post-colonial field. I would like to focus
on the victorian period / the colonial period, but depending on the
amount of material i have i may just class it as english literatures.

As you all must be aware there is very lilttle acedemic works on the
way muslims and islam andenglish literature, and i am hoping that
maybe teh members on this group can guide me somewhat to any works or
interesting materials that they are aware off, i would be very
grateful for any help.

are there any books that characterise muslims? or discuss islam?

or a bibliography of books that raises similar issues?

THank you and i hope to hear from you all.
