We are quite excited to have the youth group also participate in this meeting to help plan the Feb 23rd Harinaam and other ideas for OutReach.

Please note that the OutReach team will meet this Monday, Feb 4th @ 6 pm at Gauranga hall instead of Feb 3rd evening as earlier planned since devotees are caught up in other immediate engagements.

However in order to plan Harinaam on Nityananda Prabhu's Appearance day along with Ravi Prabhu and the Youth Group , Monday evening seems to be the only available time for this week.  It might also be a good time to discuss any new ideas. 

Please let me know in case you will NOT be able to make it for this meeting.

As discussed, I have sent out a google calendar so we can all have access to updating details on OutReach events for the year.Please let me know if you need any help updating the details since Google calendar is not the most user friendly.

Alternately you can also mail / text / phone in the details you want in the shared calendar and I can put it in there.Once we have all the details we can work towards loading them on the website too.

Firstly,on behalf of OUTREACH a special thank you to everyone for starting the meetings for OUTREACH efforts last evening. 

Our deep gratitude to Gurubhakti Mataji and Shobha Kishori Mataji for all their services and initiating this volunteer engagement . Also, many thanks to Shyamsundar Prabhu for gracing the meeting and providing his valuable support.

Minutes of Meeting

1 OUTREACH targets to reach out to more yoga studios,festivals etc based on success of previous year and to include more volunteers in this effort.

2 Googlegroups to connect the team via e mail.

3 One designated volunteer to maintain calendar based on inputs from OUTREACH team.All events to be updated on website and email reminders to be sent out regularly.

4 Regular OUTREACH group meetings to be held every 2nd Sunday of the month.In case of any event clashing with the date ,it will be rescheduled to   

 the 3rd Sunday of the month.

(However till we have things up and running,the group is to meet more often as necessary every other week.)

5 List of volunteers to be drawn up and circulated to all members for easy reference to contact help for Cooking , Rides etc. Plan to be drawn up for    
        training volunteers for services as appropriate.

6 Discussion with Shyamasundar Prabhu for space exclusively allocated to OUTREACH for storage and operations.

7 Suggestion raised for separate tables for books and henna,saree stalls. To be remedied by an extra table in the event.

8 Harinam to have packed prasadam in addition to kirtan and book distribution.

9 Raise awareness of OUTREACH via Facebook,posters and presentations to congregation on a regular basis.

10 Houston Rodeo is the new event OUTREACH will evaluate this year as a potential event to participate in next year.

11 Action item drawn up for pre event write up for all events assigned to volunteers and to be diligently followed up on.

12 Volunteers named for designated action items listed in table attached.
