Hare Krishna Prabhujis and Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.
This is in continuation of the transcription of one of the nectarean class by our beloved spiritual master HH Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj at Sree Sree Radha NeelMadhav dham, Rajkot, on Srimad Bhagavatam verse 7.9.11, in the year 2007. In the previous offering we heard from Maharaj that
1. No expectation leads to satisfaction.
Now we shall hear further.
Maharaj: (Continuing to explain the invocation verse of Isopanishad Maharaj said) pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇam idaṁ This is purna, Complete is not the correct meaning really for purna. English language always fall short, but purna is the best word. And this definition should be really engraved in our mind, that’s why we have put this verse first in our prayers. These boys at the moment they don’t understand, as soon as they grow big, they will understand the transcendence of Krishna. because Krishna is purna, those who run after Krishna they are also purna. In our life also to the extent of surrender we may have some ideas, our own ideas, through sense gratification or whatever. But even then, side by side, dissatisfaction is running. In material world only the hankering will be there, there is no satisfaction. And because there is no satisfaction, they think that hankering after some sense gratification is the goal of our existence. And unknowingly, they are anchored to that point. Wherever you hanker after, whichever thing you are hankering after, you are tied to it, that is anchor. Hanker is h-a-n-k-e-r and anchor is a-n-c-h-o-r. When there is deep water, even then the anchor works. It’s a very heavy thing. So doesn’t allow the ship to move here and there, with the movement of the waves. So anything you hanker after, unknowingly you are anchored there. so your movement stops. Then we start thinking that that is the goal of my existence. Herein the scriptures creep into our life. And they completely advise oppositely. "Rascal, this is not your goal. You are completely misled you know. na māṁ duṣkṛtino mūḍhāḥ first class fools."
When Prabhupada was reading one boy came and said, "Prabhupada, I am rascal number one." Prabhupada said, "Shut up, you are not number 1 anywhere.". Prabhupad’s wit was very nice. Within no time he said, "you are not no 1 anywhere." You are number one rascal whichever way you want, you prefer. But the thing is this mudha attitude doesn’t go away. That is, our all goal is material. With material goals, we are always mudhas. That goes without saying. But that is not our goal and we have made it our goal. This madness I don’t know really when and how it will irradicated for the masses, and our minds also. We are sitting in the temple luckily. Very fortunate situation we have. Extremely fortunate situation. There is no comparison to this situation in the material world. We may compare with so many place, there is no situation, comparing to our situation. This, Prabhupad always called it our transcendental embassies you know. Goloka Vrndavan. Replica of Goloka Vrndavan. "We don’t know Goloka Vrndavan," he said. "But we have embassy here, Krishna has embassy here."
Krishna willing we shall continue to hear more nectar from Maharaj in the subsequent offering.
