Invitation to Sri Krishna Jamashtami Festival & Srila Prabhupada Vyasa Puja on 22nd-23rd August

Yes, it's that time of the year again (!), the appearance day of the
all-attractive Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, Lord Sri
Krishna, as well as the appearance of the Lord's most beloved servant,
Srila Prabhupada. Two ecstatic festivals, one after another! Don't
miss them!
Sri Krishna Janmashtami, the Lord's appearance, will be celebrated on
Monday, 22nd August, 6pm-midnight and Srila Prabhupad's Vyasa Puja
celebration will take place on Tuesday, 23rd August, 3pm till 7pm. We
heartily invite you, your family, your friends and anyone else you can
think of, to come and help us celebrate these two supremely auspicious
occasions, the more the merrier!
For devotees of Krishna, these are the two most important festivals in
the whole year. Simply by coming together to hear about, glorify,
remember and worship the Lord and his pure representative, Krishna is
satisfied, we will be satisfied, indeed, everyone will be satisfied.
Just by understanding the Lord's appearance and activities, one need
not take birth again in this material world. In fact, it could be said
that it is even more important to glorify Srila Prabhupada, for what
would we understand about Krishna if it were not for him? Therefore,
Krishna says that 'one who says he is My devotee is not really my
devotee but one who is the devotee of my devotee is actually My
devotee'. By all of us joining together for these festivals, we will
become enlivened, inspired, renewed, enlightened and full of bliss! In
this way we will receive unlimited mercy by which we can progress
steadily on the path back home, back to Godhead.
Our Janmashtami festival will be held from 6pm till midnight. The
program will be spiritually-surcharged with ecstatic kirtans,
heart-rending bhajans, delightful dramas, readings and a
transcendental auction! The celebrations will climax with Lord
Krishna's midnight arati in which we will joyfully sing and dance for
the Lord's pleasure. After that, a sumptuous prasadam feast will be
served to everyone.
The Vyasa Puja celebration for Srila Prabhupada will be held the
following day from 3pm till 7pm. There will be offerings for his
pleasure, spoken appreciations, video, arati and kirtan. There will be
an opportunity for everyone to speak to show their appreciation for
Srila Prabhupada, this is a very sweet and intimate way to show our
love for him. Again, there will be a very special feast served for the
pleasure of Srila Prabhupada and the subsequent pleasure of everyone
else.
