ISKCON is happy to invite you, your family members, friends and
colleagues to your monthly programme in Aberdeen on SUNDAY, 10th
April, 4pm-6pm at Aberdeen Quakers Meeting House, 98,Crown Street (off
Union Street), AB11 6HJ. The topic will be "FREEDOM FROM SUFFERING".
This time we will have special guests who are not only good speakers,
but also really expert musicians. Therefore, be prepared for special
Bhajan, ecstatic Kirtan, Enlightening talk (pravachan) and, of course,
delicious Prasad feast.
The Bhagavad-gita says 'manusyanam sahasreshu kaschid yatati siddhaye
yatatam api'... out of many thousands of people, someone may develop
this reasoning power: "Why am I suffering?" We do not want to suffer,
but suffering is forced upon us. We do not want too much heat or cold,
but too much cold and too much heat are forced upon us. We do not want
thirst, hunger, old age, disease and death. But nobody is free from
all these sufferings in this world. Everyone is full of anxiety
despite increasing material comforts, economic development and
scientific advancement. The Western countries have reached the summit
of material civilization, but people are still dissatisfied. The
government has difficulty controlling crime, drug addiction, adultery,
etc.
Ancient wisdom of the Vedas and Bhagavad Gita gives knowledge how to
become free from suffering. It is not theoretical - it is practical.
That will be the subject matter of this programme.
The programme is free and everyone is welcome. Kindly forward this
email to whoever it may concern.
We are looking forward to see you soon. For more information phone 07810854896.
Your sincerely,
