Asking the community for some desperate help for a Gen6/H400 cluster that we were told by our VAR in the beginning when we provisioned it to keep the original code of the system (doh! really dudes?), but we've run into some pretty major software related issues and need to upgrade to latest v9.7. I have v9.7 but need to go from v8.1 to v8.2 first! Can anyone share any version of OnFS v8.2 usb image please? Our support has expired recently (of course!) and the download links for v8.2 are unavailable and I can't get in touch with support. Such a bummer - I thought I had downloaded this version just to have but no dice!

This is the link that isn't working anymore

I know this is exactly kosher – but I'll be forever grateful and will send you something in the mail as a thanks!

HiJamie,

With this usb image you will lose all your data, is this something you really want? If want to keep your data you need to have regular installer that will upgrade the system in place. Otherwise you can simply look for v9.7 image?

Hi Ozen,

Thanks for bringing this up! I was so accustomed to Gen5's process of reimaging the nodes via USB and thought Gen6 hardware would be the same. Def do not want to lose all of the data (although I have all of it backed up). So a regular installer and placed in /ifs/data should work. I'm guessing I would need to do drive drive support and node firmware updates to each step. Probably need to go from v8.1 to v8.2, then to v9.0, then to v9.5, then finally to v9.7 to get current.

I'm going to try and connect with Dell via some contacts I have there and see if they can share the v8.2 install bundle.

Hi Jamie,

It seems you can jump to 9.5 from 8.2.2 as per Upgrade Planning Documentation. Please check this out:

Have you tried a -k or --insecure option in curl to bypass checking the SSL certificate?
