And can it be  'replayed' to recreate config or is it simple a record of state ?

idea is looking to automate on a regular basis taking a config state snapshot so we have
a known state at a particular time.

Tks.

yeah, I was wondering whether I had to do that, ie  use REST API calls to dump a config, just figured I would ask first as I figured either EMC  or someone else had previously identified
need, and I was hoping to build on that experience.

I don’t believe there is such option in OneFS. Maybe you can rely on a number of show commands to capture all the configuration you want. Then with some scripting you can generate all the create/modify commands you need to replicate the configuration on another cluster. I did that on many tech refresh projects.

Thanks

There used to be an "unsupported" script you could get your hands on. You might ask your Dell/EMC rep about it.

Doesn't cover all config, but I recommend https://github.com/obergt/Isilon_Tools or my (company's) fork of this tool, which adds extra functionality/bug fixes: https://github.com/pa-jberanek/Isilon_Tools

It can backup/restore:

* SMB shares
* NFS exports
* Quotas
* Snapshot schedules
* SyncIQ policy
* Network pools

Or, if you prefer/are willing to pay: https://www.supernaeyeglass.com/dr-edition

Cheers,

John
