Hey Len,
Full disclosure here: I'm the NFS lead developer at Isilon. So that
means I can give you the answers you're looking for, but I might have
a bias towards Isilon. :)
1) Yes, we introduced our NFSv4 implementation in OneFS 6.5.0 and it
is fully compliant.
2) Unfortunately, NFSv4 puts a wrinkle in our current NFS failover
implementation, because NFSv4 includes much more state, such as open
files, byte range locks, share reservations and delegations. So we
don't yet support failover for NFSv4, but we're working towards that
goal.
3) Our NFSv4 implementation in 6.5.x does fully support NFSv4 ACLs.
They tie directly into our native Isilon ACL system, which supports
unix permissions and SMB/Windows ACLs. As Jerry mentioned, our ACL
system is pretty extensive and configurable.
Also you mentioned NFSv4 mounting - we've fully implemented the NFSv4
pseudofilesystem which allows you to mount "/" of the Isilon cluster
and browse to your exports.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
