Let's say i have an application running on Linux, it's using NFS export /ifs/data/app1. Application team will be performing an upgrade that will be changing data inside of this directory and they ask for a quick roll-back option. On Celerra/VNX i can easily roll back entire file system from a snapsure snapshot but what are my options on Isilon. Is my only option to mount .snapshot directory and use rsync with --delete parameter ? This directory is a couple of terabytes in size so i would hate to do a full "re-copy".  Any ideas guys ?

Thanks

With One 7.0 snapshots can be created as revertible, and, indeed,
rolled back later on. Which is "undo"-able again...
Check the docs for: creating SnapRevert domains and reverting snapshots.
