Has anyone ever seen "unprovisioned drives" or "missing drives" in a storagepool?
We added a new node, don't see the space, but we noticed some disks even on our old system are "missing" or "unprovisioned".

This is onefs 7.1.1.4

# isi storagepool health

If you added a new node if it doesn't match the same CTO configuration you won't be able to use the storage space from it.

Unprovisioned drives: 1:bay1-36, 26:bay5, 30,34:bay23, 33:bay4,8

Node 1 is 'missing' all of its drives
Node 26 is missing Bay 5
Nodes 30 and 34 are both missing Bay 23
Node 33 is missing Bay 4 and Bay 8

What do those drives show as when you look at them via isi devices?

Can you report back the output of these .

isi_for_array -s 'isi devices drive list' | grep HEALTHY -v

This should show you any drives not marked as HEALTHY.

Can you also do this

isi storagepool compatibilities available list

isi storagepool nodepools list

I let turns out we didn't upgrade the smartpools version on disk at the end of some previous upgrade. Some number of drives were just being skipped by the system as usable because of this and we didn't notice until we added a whole node and didn't see any space.

I'll post back the commands we ran to fix it as I handed it to another person to resolve. This is a non obvious error in the GUI. I mean it says there is a problem but it doesn't really tell you how to resolve it.

Support helped us through it.

# isi_for_array -s 'sysctl efs.bam.disk_pool_db | grep version'

We're on 7.1.1.4 - but our smartpools is running at version 5, should be version 7.
Apparently you have to run:

/usr/libdata/patchmgr/smartpools-upgrade

and potentially some other postupgrade steps.
Not sure how we missed this in an upgrade, but that was our problem.
