Tonight with PhatManDee and Polka Freakout, we will rock out at the 31st Street Pub, Pittburgh's Home of Cutting Edge Rock n Roll. 3101 Penn Ave, in the Strip.
It won't get any more cutting edge than this!
Doors open at 9PM. PhatManDee will serenade us with her eclectic songstressness, then sing a couple of tunes with my band, Ishtar. Ishtar will play a few instrumentals, then turn the stage over to Polka Freakout from Texas. Polka Freakout features Alex Meixner from Johnstown, PA (!) and Bubba Hernandez of Brave Combo from Denton TX. Their unique polka rock sound will be sure to please. This whole show is brought to you by Manny Theiner. $10 cover.

Sunday December 2 @ 2PM at Your Inner Vagabond, Melissa will be teaching a Middle Eastern music and rhythms ensemble class. Dust off your band instrument, your guitar, your harmonica, or darbuka and learn a few tunes to play together in time for Jalsah Pittsburgh VI on Dec 8 (www.jalsah.org). If there is enough interest, I can coach atendees through a few song lyrics as well. Your Inner Vagabond is located at 4130 Butler St Lawrenceville 15201. $5 donation for the workshop.
