Merry month of May for Ishtar

Hi family, friends and fans of Ishtar!

After an exciting weekend of recording at Mr Smalls, performing at the Gallery Crawl with our friends Ayleeza and Julian and making BellyRock music at the library's quiet room we are ready to head back to Your Inner Vagabond for our next BellyDance - BellyRock show.

On May 8 at 9PM, Ishtar will be playing the classics of bellydance for bellydancers Nesheli and Deena. Cover is $7, children under 14 are $3. Your Inner Vagabond is at 4130 Butler St in Lawrenceville. YIV is smoke free, family-friendly and BYOB. They have the most excellent tea, coffee and snacks menu in DaBurgh!

The next BellyDance - BellyROCK show at Your Inner Vagabond will be June 6 and the featured dancers are Kari and Joanna of Sadiqa.

If you'd like to learn how to play the darbuka like Mark of Ishtar, he will be teaching Monday night classes on the South Side.

Hijaz Jam!  Yeah we haven't had one of these in a while. :-) Come on over to my house on Saturday night May 10 around 8PM, bring some drums, instruments, wine, beer, snacks etc and we can informally jam in my livingroom.  1135 Itin St Pittsburgh, PA 15212

JALSAH PITTSBURGH VIII will be on June 7 at Your Inner Vagabond! Bring any instrument you have so you can sit in and jam with Ishtar!

The Ishtar CD will be available soon, as well as T-shirts, so get ready to bellyrock!!
