Hello fans, family and friends of Ishtar!

This Saturday June 28, 2008 come check out Ishtar at the Pittsburgh Underground event hosted by the lovely dancers of Sadiqa. Also performing: Margot B (hip-hop), Icarus Witch (theatrical rock), Balafon (West African Dance), tango,  flamenco, reggae and much more! Tickets are $10 in advance at this website:

If you are planning to be in the DC area for the July Fourth holiday, Ishtar will be bellyrocking in Greenbelt MD at the New Deal Café with DragonSong Band on July 5! Our featured bellyrockers are Noa Reyhan, Zarifa, Nina Amaya and Jehna of the Baltimore/DC area! Show is at 8PM and cover is $8. All ages show! Special Middle Eastern menu available for the evening.

July 6, Melissa and Mark will teach WORKSHOPS in Towson, MD.  Mark will be teaching Beginner Darbuka at 12:30PM and Melissa will be teaching Middle Eastern Music Ensemble for ALL instruments at 1:30PM. Workshops will be held at:

At 4PM on July 6, Ishtar will be playing at Café Spice for the All Seasons Hafla. Many dancers will be performing including Shems, Zarifa, Berna and Nina Amaya. $20 includes Indian food buffet and entire show! Stick around for open floor dancing with Ishtar!
