Just a quick reminder that Ishtar is performing another BellyDance - BellyRock show at Your Inner Vagabond on Friday June 6 with the lovely and fabulous dancers of Sadiqa: Kari, Joanna and Sterling! Show starts at 9PM with 2 hours of Mediterranean Surf Rock goodness! Cover is $7.

June 7 - Jalsah Pittsburgh VIII with WORKSHOPS! The Ultimate bellydance community jam session!

Mark and Melissa of Ishtar and Nick Ragheb (Jalsah co-founder) will be conducting workshops on drumming and Middle Eastern music starting at 3PM.
Mark will be teaching Beginner darbuka/doumbek from 3PM - 4PM
Nick will be teaching Intermediate/Advanced darbuka and frame drum from 4:30PM to 5:30PM.
Melissa will be teaching Middle Eastern Music for ALL instruments from 5:30PM until 7PM. Sheet music will be available to borrow or to purchase. Percussionists welcome!
All workshops are $15. Take a workshop and attend the Jalsah for FREE!

Don't forget, the Jalsah is an open jam event where everyone can play along with Ishtar, so bring your instrument, bring your drum and sit in with us!
