Please help me out. Are we communicating  through "Subject: Re: members unable to post"? ‎I don't seem to understand the problem. Not unusual, by the way.

One or two longtime members of this group are unable to successfully post to it. They submit posts which never appear, although (I believe) they are able to read posts from other people.

Also, the moderator of the group has somehow gotten locked out of the admin page. (If I remember correctly, the group was 'hacked' at one point. I believe the moderator lost access then and has never been able to get it back.)

The basic problem is that when I originally set up the group I gave Google my cig...@yahoo.com email.

Could the‎ moderator(s) gain access to the old group by establishing and then submitting a new email address to Google administration. The moderator(s) would then use that email address solely for Ishmail.

Should be possible, but I've never been able to get through to a live body (or even an exceedingly "smart" machine at Google who/which could and would do the job. Am hoping this latest approach to a help group may yield one.

The "cigneto" account at Yahoo was tied to my online hymnal at Geocities. When Geocities was killed by Yahoo! (in 2009 I think) I was worried about the hymnal but it didn't even occur to me to worry about Ishmailites until Yahoo! had deactivated the account and I was unable to recover it or to get Google to use any other. I do not know what is causing some members' posts to sail off into hyperspace, but also can't access the parts of the group where I might be able to tweak things into the way they should be.
