A recap of promotions effort in Vancouver.

Found this thread of the last promotions effort i remember in Vancouver...
It is very long but contains a lot of information about the things done to promote Sadhguru's visit to seattle.

I think Geetha and Hennily can find a lot of useful things in this thread to get started.
If they have the time, it will be nice to extract info out of this email thread and put together in a nice document.

As a recap:
1) Media: an ad in the new agora and the common ground magazines.
2) Online ads on websites people visit to search for yoga programs and events.
2) Usual haunts of targeting notice borad space in temples, grocery stores, yoga studios, restaurants, new age shops, book shops, universities, libraries and community centers....we need to create a detailed list with addresses....
3) Exploit some or all of Alicja contacts.
4) Corporate notice boards...let me know if you are willing to put up posters in your work place.

Lets meet tomorrow to start off the postering efforts...
We can discuss things a bit there in person and then hit the road.
Whoever is available and willing can join us....
 
We will also distrinute some posters and postcards so that you may individually go out in your area during the following week...we have limited time as two of us will be taking time off the following weekend to go to the Satsangh in TN.
 
Is 10 am tomorrow OK with you guys?...If shanmugam is Ok with it, i would suggest meeting at his place.....nice coffee :-) and close to most of you ....for raman its just a 5 min walk....I can pick up alicja on the way...and siva can make it there in 20 minutes it think?!

Lets target these over the weekend and over next week (probably before anything else)....
Feel free to add to the list and suggest ideas about how to go about it best...
I think we can split up into groups of two and try and leave some postcards and posters:
 
We can introduce ourselves as Volunteers from a non profit organization called Isha Foundation.....and that we would like to promote a free public event organized by the foundation. It would be great if they can allow us to put up a poster and leave a few cards informing the public about the event....

We have received some posters and post cards and have promised Seattle our time and effort to promote the event in Vancouver.
As a first step an ad has been placed online in:
 
Please send in your suggestion soon so that we can have an effective promo for this event....We have set a goal of bringing 200 people to the event....Ravi stopped adding zeroes to my promised 2 only because the hall can hold only 1000 participants....:-)
