Please go and visit the property at 6521 Hazel Avenue attached in some info about the property.

Option 6:    Consider buying a ready-to-occupy structure for the Masjid and School complex in Orangevale i mile north of  Hazel/Greenback, which is a church + school, so no issue with permits.

        Pros:

     1. The fastest option in terms of move-in date because the permits (for church and school) are already valid.
  1. Large enough to serve the school need for all the surrounding communities for a very long time. (beyond 5 years from today) in shaa Allaah.
  2. Will serve neighboring communities of Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Rancho Cordova   Loomis, Carmichael, Granite Bay, Citrus height, Roseville, etc. and for the same reason increase affordability as well.
  3. Total cost will be less than  501 Levy Road Project.
  4. 501 Levy Road project not be ready for another 3 to 4 years.
  5. Centrally located and Convenient  for Orangevale, Fair Oaks, Rancho Cordova, Loomis, Carmichael, Granite Bay, Citrus height, Roseville, etc. to commute for Jumuah, Taraweeh, school, etc

Cons:

  1. Will require loan from all the communities of  $4M  which will be less than the total cost of 501 Levy Road

Asakm Fareed bhai,

These buildings are old constructions except a couple.  Are they lead/asbestos free?

ASAK WR WB,

Fareed bhai,
Is it confirmed fact that permits (for church and school) are already valid.
I am wondering if we need to go through another permit approval process for Masjid and Islamic school.

My personal input (no intention of offending anyone) - for me it will be very far to make trips back and forth from Folsom to Organgevale at least 3 times a day.
I moved from Orangevale to Folsom to be close to Intel. I moved from EmpireRanch Folsom to Priarie Oaks Folsom to be within 5min distance from Intel/Masjid/FCS.
I am not in favor of this option because of increased travel / traffic / cost of time, fuel and the unmeasurable stress that it causes.
Even with this option we might still need to keep a Musallah in Folsom at addtional cost.

How about we should continue Masjid Bilal project while exploring this Hazel Ave as another longer term project that benefits larger Sacramento Muslims.

Assalamu Alaikum,

Fareed Bhai, I was pretty much going to say what Pasha bhai said. This site is outstanding for it's size, capacity and move in conditions for our use in terms of built and permits. However, I also envision this as a project for a greater Sacramento community after we have established our current goals and projects that serve the local communities first. Please understand we all have enormous respect for the fact that for years you and your entire grand family has been coming to Folsom and other nearby Masajids. However, Folsom is home for most of the community that this project and place will be used by as we see it today. As such, Inshallah I am also of the opinion that we should probably focus on getting Masjid Bilal built and then work for such a project that will serve the greater Sacramento community.

JazkakAllah
Faheem
