Hello All,
please take a look at https://prezi.com/view/uAj0LDWVDt0camN0yf7p/ the introductory presentation on EO CARES an initiative from EO Bangalore envisioned to help build the startup ecosystem of Bangalore.
The program is designed around the CARES framework, which evaluates high potential startups on a balanced business scorecard: Customer, Achievement, Recognition, Education, and Social value. Our aim is to curate a select cohort of dynamic entrepreneurs and provide them a platform for revenue opportunities, networking, sustained mentorship & learning from the EO community and its extended networks.
The first cohort that started in November 2015 was a huge success. Where 22 startups were selected out of 60+ applications and underwent a mentor-led 4-week program. The 22 startups include Cyclops Medtech, Nopo Nanotechnologies, Nayagaadi to name a few who were recently recognized by Govt of Karnataka’s ELEVATE 100 program as the most innovative startups, and were given funding support by the government to purse their tech-ideas and scale-up. The first program ended with a vibrant ‘Demo Day’ on January 30 2016. On this day, the 22 startups intrigued and impressed our EO members, potential investors and influencers with their pitch.
EO CARES has announced the launch of its next cohort, applications for Cohort 2017-18 are now being accepted. The focal point of this program is to provide the selected early stage impact-startups with customer based revenue track to accelerate their sales through EO members and their contacts as well as a strong and continuous interface with EO community. The deadline for application is Tuesday 5 December 2017.
The program is 6 months long and within this timeline, founders need to commit couple of hours each week for kick-off, prep and match-up activities before and after the final showcase. The final showcase (Start-up Night” our main event) is on Tuesday 16 January 2018 at the Taj Westend where the start-ups pitch in front of the EO CARES shark tank panel.
I hope you find the above information useful. We would be privileged to have you join us in this initiative and help us reach out and recruit our Top 15 startups for the batch of 2017-18.
