Anyone going to DerbyCon that is from Florida?  I would like to car pool.   Also anyone have a room that i can share?

goto http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/ and see if there are any hacker spaces near you. You could also do a good search for cyber/infosec/hacker/etc.... groups in your city or major city or area near you.

 

These places usually have mailing groups and the like that will be able to help you and others communicate.

 

Meetup may be a good place to look as well. http://www.meetup.com/

 

Often schools; highschools, colleges, and universities have groups for this as well.

 

All of these places would be a good place to look for those that are near you, interested in infosec, and going to Der... Der... Der.. DerbyCon.
