Hello,

I am trying to use HXG IR brightness temperature data, but I can not
find any information on how to actually convert the count data into a
physical values. Could you lead me to a link or documentations where I
could find any related information about this?

Thank you.

Hi
Information on how to convert counts to physical units are described in the netCDF global attribute "comments".

In short, each variable that requires conversion has a variable attribute "Conversion_table". This denotes which variable should be used. In the case of irad, it is 'tmptab', so use that variable to convert count to temperature.

We tried to fully document the dataset in the netCDF global attributes and variable attributes.

Hope this helps-
-Ken
