Inquiry about the Time Coverage of ISCCP Cloud Datasets

Dear ISCCP Data Team,

I am currently working on climate and cloud-related research and am planning to use ISCCP cloud amount datasets. I would like to know the specific time coverage for each available version of the ISCCP cloud data, including but not limited to ISCCP-D1, ISCCP-D2, and ISCCP-H.

Could you kindly provide the following information?

1. The full time span (start year to most recent update) for each version of ISCCP cloud data.

2. Whether all datasets are continuously updated or have been discontinued.

3. Where to access the most recent versions.

Hello Dr. Li,

The full time span is 1983-07 through 2017-06 for all the ISCCP types. You can also confirm here. Here is the dataset page if you want to learn about all the data access options. 

We will continue to serve this data in our archive. However, ISCCP has been discontinued since Ken Knapp's early retirement from federal service.
