Hi Maria.
Is there a “mock” site where the current layout could be seen? I find it difficult to judge the layout based on photos.

Hi Alkis.
Hopefully you do have some central heating at home…
This is helpful, thanks. A few quick comments.
Design_1 and Design_2 look essentially the same to me. The only difference that I can spot is the main picture in the background of the name of the society. Now, both pictures seem to illustrate concepts from biology/genetics. As such, they might be appropriate for International Society of Computational Biology, but perhaps not necessarily to biostatistics. I would suggest to change that.
It is not clear to me how vertical scrolling will be handled on the starting page?
In the “Events”, the provided image contains a list of different events under the name of “ISCB Upcoming events”. I think only the info about the 42nd ISCB conference should be there.

Good morning to all from a snowy (believe it or not) Athens.
Please click on one or more of the link below:

As soon as it opens in your browser, click on it to enlarge. You may then zoom in and out with keys Ctrl and + - to make it fit exactly into your browser. Obviously the final website will be responsive.
We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Dear gentlemen,
Thank you for your comments.
Indeed, these are two different instances of the same design of the homepage, while the third image displays an ‘internal’ page. Regarding the theme of the images, I was wondering whether you could help us as we are not familiar with your scientific field. Can you give us some examples of suitable images, so that we can either use those if you have any high resolution non-copyrighted pictures, or to obtain an idea about the keywords we can use to search for appropriate images in data banks?
[Tomasz] No immediate idea. I will look for something.
I’m sorry, I’m not sure I understand the question.
[Tomasz] This is the beauty of a photo instead of a mock-page - I cannot see any scrolling-bars on the photo. So, I am not sure how will the navigation across the page be handled?
Content can be easily adjusted as we want, as soon as the CMS is built. Right now what we need to know is if you think that we’re on the right track design-wise.
[Tomasz] Sure. But better signal something than forget.
