I was just curious how the update was coming. I've looked at other
similar apps and even bought a few because of the delayed update, but
still prefer yours. Even so, I'm getting frustrated with the
"iNeedaName" issue and apparent lack of support/update and am almost
at the point of giving up on your app and going with one that I don't
like as much that has better support.

Again, I'd prefer to remain with yours and am looking for a reason to
do so. Please post how your update is going.

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks for your inquiry!

The update is going very slowly. The primary hold-up is the graphing
capabilities we are building into this app. It is so complex we've had
to make it a separate project. I will attempt to post some screenshots
in the future. I've also told several users we intend to start a
development blog so people can see and track our progress. I have not
done this yet as most of our internal betas would not make any sense
visually to a user.

We learned the hard way that it is much better to wait and do a
"complete" update. For that reason we have stayed away from
"incremental" updates to iScale/iNeedAName. When it does finally come
out, it will feel like a completely different and better application.
Nearly every aspect of the program will work smoother. Also, the 3.0
iPhone OS coming soon enabled us to add some interesting capabilities.

Again, I apologize to everyone for the delay, but we won't be
releasing a product until we get it absolutely right. There is simply
too much junk on the app store and we don't want to add to it.

I for one am very glad to finally see a sign of life. While I really
appreciate your desire to have the app in tip-top shape before you
release it, I think your customers would benefit from a development
blog. Even just a simple "we're working on X chart right now" update
on a regular basis would be sufficient to keep a lot of people hanging
in there rather than wondering if the whole project is just dead.
Thanks.

Hello everyone!

We have an internal deadline of may 4th for functional graphing. After
that I will have time to put up a development blog including some
screen shots of what we have been working on! Once I put it up I want
to commit to updating it every week or two. Part of the idea will be
to have early user feedback about what is useful and what isn't. I'm
getting very excited about our early results!

You'll here from us soon!
