So, here's some fun stuff for all you avid users out there:

iScale has been trademarked already and I can not continue to use it.
As such I'd appreciate suggestions!

Anyone? Anyone at all?

I made a new icon for the app too if you guys want to use it.

Here's some fuel for the fire:

We really like the idea of words that mean change. The problem is that
most of these words are big and clunky or already trademarked.

Does anyone know of change in other languages?

Also, we are strongly considering off the wall names like Amazon/
Google. Where the name is completely unrelated but easy to remember.

I've completely lost all respect for you and this app after seeing you
named it "iNeedAName".

I know it's only temporarily, at least I hope so, but wow.

Derrek Leute

We have to change the name due to a trademark conflict. We don't have
a new name we like yet and we weren't ready to change all our
marketing materials, icons and everything else fast enough for the
trademark problem.

It's a transitional period. We want users to be involved. This isn't a
normal company or a normal product line. The entire product is based
on feedback from users balanced with our development capabilities.

I'm adding more and more ways for people to contribute to the
development. Since we have to legally change the name, that includes
selecting the new name. It is temporary.

OOO!

I like those. The only problem with Thin is we don't want to imply
that you have to be thin to be healthy. I'm not sure if a name that
implies anorexic behavior is a good idea. :) Maybe we are over-
thinking it, but what can I say, I'm a perfectionist.

iMaintain is a great option!

Great App.

I like iWeigh2Much

That's why most people it, cause they DO (me included!), plus, I'm
doing great on my diet and it makes me want to get on the scale
daily....hence weighing to OFTEN, or too much. iWeigh2Much. Works
both ways (weighs?)

Yeah, I know this is primarily a "diet" program. But I don't like the
connotation diet has. In my head it's more about being healthy than
being on a "diet". I know that's just symantics, that's just how I've
thought of it. Future features will reflect the drive toward a
"health" app for everyone instead of just a weight loss app.

Yeah, there are a lot of names suggested that I like. They just don't
sound like apple products. I've been browsing the thesaurus to come up
with something with a positive meaning *and* sounds like something
apple that should be on an iPhone. iScale was that. It's tough to
replace.

OK, your goals are for health, nutrition, making good choices, etc.
and the name should not be too long and it helps if it's a bit catchy.

Yep. Health related catchy with good icon possibilities. ;)

iKeepCount is probably the best of those. Rite spelling might confuse
people. I'm trying to avoid diet implications as well.

Yeah, I know, I'm a pain and a perfectionist. It happens. It took me
months to come up with iScale.

In the meantime, you should have just renamed it iScaIe. That is, make
the L a capitalized i.

With that being said, I hate all suggested names that begin with i.
That is not clever and never has been clever.

We have some internal candidates nailed down. We haven't made the
change yet because of some long term development decisions that are in
progress. We decided to hold things off and prepare for our long term
plans rather than rush out a new branded version.

But, things are still moving along! We also have a "secret" project
underway which will be announced in the next 3-4 weeks. :)
