So far I'm pleased with iScale, but I have a couple of suggestions.

The FDA database is an odd animal. I think you'll save yourself and
future users a lot of frustration if you add a line about it in the
iTunes description. It takes getting used to, but once you've figured
out its logic (if the word applies!), it is not too difficult to
manage. I think potential users need a heads up to that effect.

Also, I vote strongly in favor of a hide/deactivate function. For
example, I am a vegetarian and it is irksome that the foods section is
prepopulated with turkey.

In all, thanks for a nice program. I look forward to future updates.

I think you are absolutely correct. I should add the same message I've
posted here. Use as much detail as you can when looking for items in
the FDA database "raw apple" "skim milk" etc. I will work on having
that cleaned up and translated into all the languages we support!

On that note, the FDA database is on the list of items we want to
improve. But it's not more important than activity tracking and
graphing. So it's had to wait its turn.

The hide/deactivate function will be coming in an update. But more
than that, we will be changing the interface a bit to make the whole
process clearer and easier. That is the biggest problem new users have
with the software. I don't want people to not be healthy because the
interface wasn't intuitive!
