will there be a notes section for journaling

I like to be able to write up my day as part of working on diet and
exercise. It lets me see how I felt when I was eating all those
chips!

This is an excellent idea!

You simply want a method to write text notes into your day? And then
go back and look at them?

Is there anything more complicated that I'm missing?

I concur. It's in planning!

Currently I'm focusing on making the code more maintainable so I can
add features easier. It's a rough job but it's coming along.
