Hey Derrick,

I am considering buying your app...so far everything looks good, but I
want something that I can track calories burned (exercises, etc). It
looks like you are putting that feature in the next update. When is
the next update? I really want this feature asap, and I do prefer your
app over another app, but it's missing this essential feature.

Thanks!

Chantal

Due to some development complications I have no definite time frame.
If this feature is that important to you now, I recommend going with
the other app.

This feature has presented some major design issues. Some of which
involve the accuracy of the feature. I don't want to release a product
that is wildly inaccurate in estimating calories burned. So we are
stuck between making it "calculate" your calories burned and letting
users enter it. Every calculation we have found to estimate caloric
burn is far too inaccurate to use in our opinion. Entering it has not
been as user friendly as I want.

Many of our competitors offer simple libraries of activities stating
how many calories were burned. These are inaccurate more often than
not because 15 minutes of running for you can be (and probably is)
wildly different than 15 minutes for me.

I can't in good faith release such a feature until I feel it is more
accurate.

Hi Derrek,

Manually entering the calories would work well for me. It means I can
enter an accurate number from my heart rate monitor/ nike run kit.
If you do manage to perfect a "calucaltion" version, can there be a
means for manual input too?
