Subject: 2013 Autonomous Snowplow Competition Final Updates and Resume Request

Dear 2013 Autonomous Snowplow Competitors;

Well, it has been just over a month now since the 2013 competition ended, and our Committee is closing up the final elements of the 2013 competition.
We wanted to send you a final message from this year with some updates and future reminders.

Updates:

Past 2013 Competition
  • All final scores are updated and posted to the competition website of www.autosnowplow.com
  • Pictures have been posted on the website, as well as on Facebook.  Please feel free to go in and tag yourself and your friends on the Facebook photos!
  • The 2013 Competition Video is on the website, and has been posted on our YouTube channel - Auto Snowplow, as well as posted to Facebook.
  • You might also enjoy the ION's Press release that was published on the competition (also on the website)

Upcoming 2014 Competition
  • A preliminary Rulebook for the 2014 Competition will be published in late spring 2013
  • All teams will be notified via email about the new Rulebook.  We hope to see you all back for the 2014 competition!
  • A new email notification process will be put in place this spring as well, so be prepared for emails to be coming from a different mailbox for 2014

Reminders:

  • Each student competitor is asked to send their resume to be posted on the competition website.
  • You may not be looking for a job at the moment, however, our sponsors want to keep their eye on talented students like yourselves, and its a good idea to stay on their radar via your resume.  All of the competition sponsors will be receiving the collection of resumes of the 2013 competitors.
  • We request that each school collect their resume and send them as a set to Missy Fisher at: mi...@asterlabs.com
  • Please send your set of resumes to Missy by Friday, March 22nd.

Fun Facts:

Since the competition has taken place earlier this year, Minnesota has gone on to have one of its snowiest Februarys ever.
We have had at least two feet of snow since January, and we have more snow forecasted for this weekend.
If any state needs a fleet of autonomous snowplows - it's Minnesota!

A Final Word:

Congratulations again to all the competitors.
It was another very successful year, and we hope you are all looking forward to next year!

Sincerely;

- The Institute of Navigation Autonomous Snowplow Competition Committee
