Subject: Alternatives for Girls Mentoring Program
Hello my name is Berta Malec and I am head of recruitment and training for the mentoring program at Alternatives For Girls. We are a non-profit in Southwest Detroit that helps homeless and high-risk girls and young women avoid violence, teen pregnancy and exploitation through providing support and resources to help them grow strong, be safe and make positive life choices.
We are looking for fresh new mentors to help make the difference in the youth lives!
We are looking for men and women over eighteen years old who are able to spend four hours minimum per month with their mentee doing fun activities with the group, taking field trips, being a positive influence etc.
We want to reach out to your organization and see if any members were interested in mentoring our youth. Or perhaps your organization would want to partner with our program. If you are interested, I would be happy to come to your next meeting and give a brief presentation about our mentoring program.
