Hello again,
After receiving some feedback, we've decided that each class should determine the activity that is appropriate for their classroom. It can be a keepsake gift (for each teacher in the class) created by the classroom's respective families or a class-organized breakfast for the entire class. Please feel free to share ideas here on this email thread.
Best,
Susanna

Potluck lunch in the Teachers' Lounge made by CP's2. Give the teachers kids' drawings bound into books.3. Give signed class picture after the potluck lunch. There are some logistical issues with #1.The teachers take lunch breaks at different times, so the food would need to be set up for the teachers to help themselves, and we would need someone to help clean up, return dishes, etc.We had also talked about breakfast, however, it would be awkward for the kids to not receive a breakfast, just the teacher, etc. and it would also interfere with their morning schedule.-----Original Message-----From: susanna ko <susa...@earthlink.net>Sent: Apr 26, 2013 12:23 PMTo: ggdr...@gmail.com, an...@birthdaypresence.net, kari...@gmail.com, lahrach...@gmail.com, sha...@langokidsnyc.com, keol...@gmail.com, ma...@metm.org, lw...@aol.com, jamesa...@gmail.com, won...@gmail.com, chu...@yahoo.com, larabon...@hotmail.com, muriel....@gmail.com, roni...@yahoo.com, jpo...@gmail.com, ymbrat...@gmail.comSubject: Teacher Appreciation Week (same email new title)Hello Class Parents,In preparation for Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10), the PA would like to organize and show our appreciation to all of our teachers. We are brainstorming on a number of activities, but contacting you because the kids and parents have a more intimate relationship with their respective teachers. It can be something that the kids put together with their parents, or something organized by the parents in your classroom. As Class Parents, please send me your ideas by Tuesday and then we'll discuss next steps.Best,Susanna

African Violets are soft, easy to care for and repeatedly sprout nice purple flowers
Geraniums are also great b/c they are easy to care for and repeatedly have flowers

My guess is yours won’t be the only one going vertical so I wouldn’t worry about it – getting it done is the most important – James since you will be assembling them do you have an opinion?
