- Services -- do you have a profession or talent you can offer?
- Gift Certificates -- walk around your neighborhood and solicit a few gift certificates; many small businesses are eager to introduce themselves to new customers
- Event tickets or "backstage" experiences -- do you or someone you know have access to any special events or hard-to-access tickets?

Thanks for sending this out James. As you know I agreed to chair the auction this year and now with only 4 weeks to go we are in high gear to get the auction items and donations forms collected.
We can use all the help we can get. I am in the process of calling every parent in the school personally, if anyone would like to help with calls let me know.
Otherwise, it would be awesome if each family in our class can either
1) donate an item to the auction, or turn in the donation form for the items they have already offered (thanks to all the parents who have already donated their homes, vip access, sports tickets, services, etc)
2) get 5 businesses in your neighborhood to donate a gift certificate of $25 or more to their business
3) if you have spare airline miles you would be willing to donate – we will be collecting a bunch to add airfare to some of our amazing travel packages this year.
Our class has been generous and we really appreciate it. If you have friends in other classes and you can encourage them to get the buzz going in their class too, it would help reduce the number of phone calls I will be making.
