Dear IPS members,
This is your friendly reminder that the deadline for nominations for the IPS Committee for 2025/2026 is TOMORROW, February 14th, 2025.
Please, see below the original email from the IPS Chair - Nadine Voelkner - about the nomination process.
All the best,
IPS Section Communications Director
Dear IPS members,
We’re looking forward to seeing you all in Chicago! The Section Business Meeting every year is also the time when the committee hands over to the new crew. We’ve been lucky to have a wonderful team this year, and we’d like to invite you to join us in running the Section, next year and beyond.
We’re calling for nominations/self-nominations for the IPS Committee for 2025/2026. This year, the positions open are:
- Program Chair/Vice Chair (becomes Chair 2026/2027, Past Chair 2027/2028)
- TWO Members-at-Large, two year term
The Program Chair is responsible for curating and building the IPS Conference program for the 2026 ISA Conference, working with other Section Chairs and the ISA HQ Team. In the year following, this person will be Chair (and then Past Chair). They will be part of the IPS prize committees, and any other initiatives in the Section. Members-at-Large serve for two-year terms. They participate in the initiatives of the Section, and can participate in the IPS prize committees. More information can be found at
https://www.isanet.org/ISA/Sections/IPS.
Nominations are open until FRIDAY FEBRUARY 14, and the online election will follow immediately. The results will be shared at the Business Meeting. ALL IPS members are very welcome to participate, including our Junior Scholar colleagues, and we welcome (and encourage!) self-nomination.
Those interested in standing should send the current Chair, Nadine Voelkner, their name, a brief 200-word profile, and the position they wish to stand for by email at nadine....@rug.nl.
If you have any questions, concerns, or wish to discuss any of the roles, please feel free to email Nadine at
nadine....@rug.nl.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
Nadine
