Hello Irvington Families-
A gigantic THANK-YOU to Jessica Farley, Chris Chen and every volunteer who helped to make this year's Fall Festival a huge success! The proceeds from the bake sale and pie-throwing will go toward the 5th grade science trip in the spring.
Special thanks to the many middle schoolers who came back to help out and to the staff who brought their sense of humor to the pie throw. It was a fun celebration.
Our PTA meeting is tomorrow night, Monday, October 7th, from 6-8. Pizza dinner and childcare will be provided.
On the agenda is a quick discussion of amendments to our standing rules, including a new, clearer process to budget proposals. If you have time, please read the attached standing rules, and be prepared to vote. We now have a Square reader, so we will be taking membership payments via cash and card!
We'll also be discussing how we can advocate to central office specifically how the additional funds from the Student Success Act would benefit Irvington students.
Finally, Maker's Fair prep is underway but we need vendors! Please spread the word to artists and business owners, and students that we would love to have their creations for sale. Kid vendors are very much encouraged to sign up. Here is a link to the vendor application.
Additionally, Corinne Rupp could use some help in coordination of this event. Many of the tasks at hand can be done from home, but she will need help on the day of as well. Please contact her at corinn...@gmail.com if you have graphic design skills, great artist connections, or a willingness to help make this event successful for our school.
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night!
