8 indoor badminton courts are now available at Portola High School

[Badminton Irvine]

Resident volunteers from Badminton Irvine (501(c)) and Pureking Badminton Academy (501(c)), along with members of the Portola High School Badminton Club laid out eight badminton courts in the Portola High School Gym on January 20, 2026.

A heartfelt thank you to Peter Abe, Athletic Director of Portola High School, for being such a strong supporter of badminton.

We are also incredibly proud of Angela Yu, President of the Portola High School Badminton Club, whose leadership helped make this project a success. 

And, a big thank you to everyone who came to help out.  We would not have got this project completed in a single-day without your help.
